Weekly Plan

This week in our groups, our group plan to finalise ideas on location and costume then later on in the week (Friday) actually begin filming. The location I expect to be the places i'be previously discussed in blogs.

Indie Genre Research

Lana Del Rey is a popular artist who's kind of music is usually classed as indie and something were trying to emulate. 

 

Ella Eyre is also an artist with similar outcomes, shown below. Themes and concepts which we will take into consideration throughout these videos are the colour, the fast paced shots and also the performance of the subject (artist). 

Location research - Indie

The types of locations we are researching and interested in are possible indie options. One very good option we've researched is the 'God's Own Junkyard' in London.

This is where the location actually is. The basis of the Junkyard is that it's an art gallery/bar. To film here i predict we will have to email or call to see if it's available to use in our film. 

Logo Design

After a lot of attempts and different alterations of this design which I made on photoshop it was this design we decided was the best fit for our artist. This suits Aaliyah Ade (Vivid) for many reasons:
One being the fact many colours are used represent the themes in our music video which we will make.

Our other option we nearly went with was the same design but with out the yellow effect on top of the drop shadow being the letters. Our third option which we discarded very quickly was the logo above but without both the drop shadow and the yellow. This looked very boring and plain; this is why we didn't choose it.

Song

This is our chosen song for our artist, Vivid. The song by Shannon Saunders, 'Sheets', is the ideal son for our concept. It is fast paced, without a current music video to sway our ideas and also 3/4 of the way through it has a clear direction change in the music and aswell lyrically.
